I Found Help

Columbia University Irving Medical Center

For Columbia University Irving Medical Center’s iCanDepCare study, we created I Found Help, a short film and companion patient insight report supporting a new pilot measuring improvements in mental health among cancer survivors.

Working with Columbia’s team, we helped find and select four patients and a caregiver and led in-depth discovery interviews, using their own words to shape the film and surface insights about depression screening, support, cost, and caregiving. Shown in cancer centers, the film offers patients a relatable way into conversations about mental health and seeking help and will be measured for impact over the next 12 months.

The stories and insights also helped clinicians look beyond screening results to better understand how patients experience care—making lived experience a resource for both patient support and clinical learning.
