We’re a patient- and caregiver-led strategy and documentary storytelling studio built around lived experience.
We make the invisible visible — closing the gap between what patients and caregivers actually experience and what teams know when they make decisions.
The truth about a patient's life doesn't live in a dashboard.
It lives in their kitchen, their waiting room, the text they send at 2 a.m.

Founders’ Story
When Anna Rathkopf was diagnosed with cancer, she and her husband Jordan picked up their cameras to make sense of what they were living through.
That work earned international recognition, but more importantly, it exposed a persistent gap between what healthcare tracks and what patients actually experience.
RATHKOPF was built to help healthcare teams see that gap clearly — and act on it. For nearly ten years, we have continued this work with patients, caregivers and community partners across different health experiences—building every relationship with care.
Lived Experience Strategic Discovery
Understand the question before the brief is written.
Discovery + Documentary
Learn first, then turn what is learned into strategy, photography and film.
Documentary Photography & Film
Create the work when the brief and need are already clear.
Before you build anything, find out what you don't know.
We help teams reveal what patients and caregivers actually experience to help close the lived experience gap.
We spend weeks/months finding out. You leave with a clear brief — and the choice to build from it.
Let's understand what your patients are living—not just what your data is measuring.
Let's talk before you decide what to build.
